Some things in this world simply don’t need to be visualized, but there are many things that could be visualized but are not at this moment. We want to see the good things visualized in this world.

この世の中には可視化されなくてもいいものがある一方、可視化されたらこの世にとっていいのになと思うことがある。この世の中にとっていいものでまだ可視化されていないものを見てみたい。

Even if you cannot change the world, you can change and decide how to deal with the world. Seeing and feeling the world through stuffed animals is one way of communicating with the world. You can find yours too.

There are so many things in my life that make me happy. Not only friends and families, but strangers make me happy too. When “I” was about 8 or 9 years old, I remember I had lunch at a diner with my family and the diner’s waitress was really nice to me. She made our lunch very special. I remember having a nice chat with an elderly couple from America in Madrid, Spain. I was drinking sprite and the wife asked me if I was from America. I don’t remember their names, but that warmth still remains in my heart and I think it will remain forever.

I believe even if it’s a small chat or a sentence or two on the internet, you can make an impact on someone’s life in a good way. I also believe that stuffed animals can play that role too.

自分自身の人生で楽しかった場面を思い浮かべてみた。そこには友人家族だけでなく、「他人」も多く含まれる事に気付く。8歳か9歳の頃、家族で食堂のようなレストランに入った時にウェイストレスの女性がとても親切にしくれて、その食事の時間が楽しかった。スペインのマドリッドでスプライトを飲んでいたらアメリカから旅行中の老夫婦にあなたはアメリカから来たのかと声を掛けられ会話が弾んだ。名前も知らない人たちなのに、なぜか時間の温もりが心に残っている 。きっとその温かさが冷める事は今後もないだろう。

ちょっとの会話やネット上の一文でも見知らぬ誰かの人生にいいインパクトを与える事ができると思っている。その役割をぬいぐるみも果たせると思う。

Inclusivity is important to us. We don’t want to leave out anyone from the picture. Everyone matters. The “map” is our own way of expressing the importance of inclusivity.

Reinventing inclusivity in isolation is challenging yet fun.

ウナギ達は、インクルーシビティ（社会の誰もが参加できるようになっている事）を大切に受け止めている。世の中の風景から誰かが除外されるような社会にはしたくない。この地図は、インクルーシビティを表現したくて表現したわけではないけれど、ウナギ達なりに大切にしたい考えが表現されているのかもしれない。

このような時にインクルーシビティの在り方を再発見するのはチャレンジングでウキウキする。

The map lets you pin your (stuffed animal) location, but that’s basically it. You can’t/don’t need to hit a like button or post your lunch photo. You exist in this world and that’s something to celebrate. Maybe not a lot of people get to see you, but we see you and we wanted to say that you’re doing just fine.

地図は基本的にはぬいぐるみの場所をピンするだけの機能しかなく、いいねを押すボタンもなければ食事の写真をシェアできる機能もない。ただそこにあなた（ぬいぐるみ）が存在していると知らせる事しかできないけれど、逆にそれだけでいい。私たちは見ているし、ただそこにいるだけでいい、と思っている。
